We didn't want to give you yet another paper describing how bad 2020 was. That, we are all aware of and strongly that it stops.
So to end this year of ambient gloom and because we tend to see the glass half full, we want to tell you about all the COOL things that happened to us in 2020!
We met some nice people
We start with the obvious, our loving team. 2020 was still full of great encounters. Even if many internships took place in Visio, the investment and the good mood were there. Many thanks to: Félicité, Clara, Camille, Victoria, Fiona, Chloé, Emma, Charlotte, Victoria for joining the team for a few months. Heart with fingers to Morgane and Adèle who supported Joséphine in the Plum Brides adventure under COVID-19!
You trusted us for your weddings
We take this opportunity to join our Plum Brides team who experienced the full force of the storm. We want to tell you about Joséphine who has set up slots first in the workshop in private then in video-confined to allow you to discover the models of the collection. We want to talk to you about the weddings in small groups that we took pleasure in accompanying, about the inspiration that pierced against all odds to give birth to the 2021 collection that you can discover right here ! And above all, we want to do a big Big Up to our beloved team, to all the brides and witnesses who saw their D-Day turned upside down.
We felt very inspired by new things
Our love of clothing has never been confined! This year our wardrobe has grown, making room for new essentials. It started in January with the arrival of our darling sweatshirt . We will also agree on the fact that we had a nose for this piece, eh. We were still far from imagining what was going to fall on us. It was closely followed by the culottes , the first pants to enter the ranks of small skirts!
It was in March that we blew up the counters with our very first dress ! A crazy idea for a long time stored in the corner of our heads which marks the beginning of a new era for the brand (yes yes just that) and which confirms our desire and yours to see further and bigger than skirts!
The other great novelty (which is not one) is the return of the shirt! 50 pieces cut by hand several years ago at a time when the structure of the brand did not allow us to embark on such a risky model... We will have to wait 7 years and several rounds of heating in patronage to find the perfect cut and finally give it its place!
The confinement has made us passionate about homewear and the confi pants were born between the 4 walls of a confined living room to brave telework with softness and colors. The déconfinement has fascinated us to pimp all day-everyday for no reason and the buttoned slit was born to accompany your return to social life and work with style and sexyness!
A shirt dress and a coat later (you tell yourself that in the end it may be sickly and that we can't stop) there is almost no more room in our showroom to dress you from morning to night, outside and inside!
We have expanded our production
Because despite everything the demand was there! So to continue to produce responsibly with respect for our manufacturers, we have exported part of our production to Loire Atlantique. From Made in Paris to Made in France, we tell you everything about this fabulous meeting that revolutionized our manufacturing in 2020. Our challenges encountered to preserve responsible and local production in the midst of a pandemic and our desire to put the product back at the center of our priorities!
We have launched some great projects
RNSPTST, Fixember, JR2... As many invented words as there are ideas in our heads. Consuming better, more sustainably and giving clothes a second life were the challenges of the past few months! To offer you alternatives to overconsumption and encourage you to make your skirts last over time! This is only the beginning of these fresh initiatives which are still making their mark in our organization but which we hope will last for the next few years!
You were there from start to finish
Without you all these beautiful things would not have been possible! Thank you for being there at each of our launches, at each workshop reopening, thank you for your orders, thank you for laughing at our jokes and our slightly wonky puns on Instagram, thank you for your sweet words and your encouragement throughout the year! In short, a HUGE thank you for being golden customers, we love you very much! Cheers to a new year full of projects share your desires with us, we are here, we are listening to you, we are in this together!
